2. What is prejudice? Where in the world have you seen prejudice? What are the effects of prejudice?

I personally do not know much about prejudice. The basic information that I know about prejudice is that it's a personal feeling, opinion, and thought against someone. I have heard the word 'prejudice' in Jane Austen's novel, "Pride and Prejudice". Also, I have heard and learned the basic meaning of the word, 'prejudice' in Korean as well. In order to learn more about the word 'prejudice', I looked it up on a dictionary and it explains that it's an unfavorable opinion or feeling done without knowledge, thought or reason. So, basically prejudice means to have a bad, sometimes even hateful opinion or feeling without having a good reason. In the world, we can see many acts of prejudice. Some acts of prejudice are many people in the world think Koreans eat dogs, girls can't be strong leaders as boys, if you're a lefthanded, you are smart, prejudice against the blacks in the past, and jobs such as lawyers all receive a lot of money. Prejudice is seen all over the world and has caused many effects. Even in our daily lives, we face many acts of prejudice, which leads to discrimination. The effects of prejudice is that many people are being mistreated and discriminated, such as how the blacks were mistreated unfairly in the past. Through prejudice, many are treated unfairly and unequally. By having a strong prejudice against something, it becomes difficult to break the prejudice and to accept the actual truth. The idea of prejudice can not be fully erased from our minds, but we can try to have less prejudice from learning and thinking more about the other cultures and ideas.
